Different Dimensions and Designs

The flags we stock come in various sizes and styles, and they can be mounted on flagpoles installed either on your home’s exterior wall or in the ground. What size is best depends on your preference, but just as importantly, you also need to consider how tall your setup is. For your flag to fly properly and remain visible on an in-ground flagpole, its longest side should be one-fourth to one-third of the pole's height — for example, 3x5 feet for most 20-foot poles. Flags flown on wall mounts, on the other hand, should be about half the length of the pole — meaning roughly 3x5 feet if the pole is 6 feet tall.

Polyester: This material is a perennially popular choice for its hard-wearing open weave, fade resistance in bright sunlight and moisture repellence. It also boasts the ability to fly well in both light breezes and high winds. Two-ply polyester is especially resilient against wear and tear.
Nylon: Known for its ideal combination of strength, light weight and moisture resistance, this fabric is prized both for how well it flies in all sorts of climates, and how it stands up to discoloration and mildew. Nylon flags usually run best up wall-mounted outrigger flagpoles.
Burlap: Choose this natural fiber if you’re putting up a flag in a yard or garden and going for a rustic, textured look. Many burlap flags feature weatherproofing treatments, and they can be heat transfer-printed, painted or personalized in other ways.

While most flags we offer are one solid piece of material, many are made up of different pieces sewn onto the base fabric — perfect for if a layered design is what you’re after. For a pattern visible on both sides, from nearly any angle, go with a double-sided flag, and to ensure it is extra durable, look for headers reinforced with grommets.
